Two Jewelers of America affiliates, the New Hampshire Jewelers Association and the Vermont Jewelers Association, recently joined forces with a third, the Massachusetts-Rhode Island Jewelers Association, to form the New England Jewelers Association.
“We welcome the jewelers in New Hampshire and Vermont to our family, and we hope they will take full advantage of the many opportunities available to them,” said Stewart Brandt of H. Brandt Jewelers in Natick, Mass., president of the New England Jewelers Association. “We offer trade shows twice a year, an annual golf tournament, and various educational opportunities during the course of each year, making membership in the New England Jewelers Association valuable to retail jewelers.”
The combined membership in the New England Jewelers Association is 360 members. Officers in the New England Jewelers Association are as follows:
· Stewart Brandt of H. Brandt Jewelers in Natick, Mass., president. · Ephraim Doumato of Ephraim Doumato Jewelers in Greenville and Wakefield, R.I., vice president. · Steven Duvarney or Duvarney Jewelers, Clinton and Fitchburg, Mass., secretary. · Robert Mullen of Mullen Brothers Jewelers in Swansea, Mass., treasurer.
The association currently has 12 board members, and two more from Vermont and two more from New Hampshire will be added in the new year.
“We are very excited about the regionalization of our affiliates in the Northeast,” said JA President/CEO Matthew Runci. “The New Hampshire and Vermont organizations will benefit tremendously from the organization and strength of the Massachusetts-Rhode Island Jewelers. All four states will now have access to some of the best education programs, information networks and staff support of any of our affiliates across the country. We applaud the efforts of the organizations to work together for the enrichment of membership.”
